Wind Blown Tree

In the Studio I am keeping in mind a 'suggestion' of the subject and trying to mix a natural green. Above my painted suggestion of the wind blown tree at the centre of Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. It is tiny.

Christmas at Avocet

This weekend sees the start of the Avocet Gallery Christmas Show, a selection of my paintings, monoprints and cards are included. If you haven't been to Rye Harbour it is a fascinating place, industrial warehouses, fishermen's cottages, boats, an 800 acre nature reserve and of course the hut with the red roof.

Painting on Plywood

I ordered the Plywood online, it was delivered to Arts Hut by mistake. The Fixer then kindly delivered it to the Framer. The Framer then kindly cut it into 9 inch square pieces, keeping some long slithers. Team effort. I'm on the third coat of Gesso Primer.

if: vanity

This weeks Illustration Friday topic is 'Vanity'. In reality our hounds have practical black waterproof coats, I would prefer soft furry green with a sheepskin lining and a red snood.

Saturday we made it back for the final afternoon of The Cranbrook Art Show 2011. I sold 'Shoreline Dungeness' and enjoyed incredible feedback, I was surprised and a little overwhelmed.

Lurcher Christmas Cards

I received an email:
"We have sold out of the Hound cards, can you send more ASAP. People are going bonkers for them" Bea, Finn and I folded, stuffed and packed.
It is November 18th, my 2011 Christmas Cards have officially sold out from my Studio. My model writes a blog Shop Dog, clearly he has a fan base. If you're quick you might get hold of a few packs from his owner Miss P

Hanging

The Cards were sent out first, the advance party. They went down well, especially here
The first two pics are Gallery North, Hailsham. My new smaller works. Along the corridor an exhibition by children at Grovelands School, I love it.
Tomorrow we head to Kent, for The Cranbrook Art Show I have my price labels, flyers, wrapping...
