I have been watching our garden since February when we moved in. We used to live on a chalk clifftop, but here the soil is clay and heavy, so most of the plants are new to me. I think I prefer the wild flowers to paint, although the camellias and hydrangeas look perfect, even after storms.

We visited the Christmas Show at the Rye Art Gallery, if anyone wants to buy me a Christmas present, I'll have a piece from the Judith Rowe collection, thanks. We also went to see our neighbour Annie Soudain's Show, it's in a large space, worth a visit.

Popping out every now and then to enjoy the rainbows.
After nine months of pruning the small front garden is about to get some new additions.
