Midsummer 2019

Midsummer's Day was hot. Watercolour pencils, oil pastels and a selection of water mixable paints were laid out in the workshop with A4 and A3 paper. Straw hats were optional. The students sat in the vegetable gardens and poly tunnel choosing to paint individual flower heads including marigolds, poppies and fennel foliage, amidst Mike's terracotta pots. Margot picked a beautiful salad, to compliment Mr PWP's cheese and chive scones, oat biscuits and chocolate brownies. Tove from Norway a guest at Dot Cottage, said how much she had enjoyed coming to the two days, which was great to hear.
