Peaceful

The winter weather made Christmas 2010 sunny, snowy and peaceful. The baby W-P's made it over from Brighton, we made it to Rye and there were many family phone calls to treasure.

Our village Post Office is just up the High Street. I post all my mail order cards and prints in this post box, yesterday it was so full the envelopes were spilling out...

Tinsel and Lightning

Electricity in Herstmonceux is a bit hit and miss. On Wednesday night it went off for a few hours, leaving us with a torch and two dogs for warmth. Today we had a snow storm with thunder bolts and lightning, hailstones the size of gobstoppers, followed by a brilliant blue sky. I have kept the Gallery open whilst hanging my tinsel, cards and planting skinny Father Christmas figures in wine glasses. As you do.

Illustration Friday: Phenomenon

Snug

As the snow melted our roof leaked, drains blocked and electricity blew. Today, light at the end of this renovation tunnel in the form of our Scutt & Coles Ashdown Check blinds. Created and fitted by the lovely Jenny Hook

To get my head and pencil in the right place I have joined Illustration Friday
This week's theme is 'Prehistoric', I'm Pisces, so it's a fishy fossil monoprint, with a hint of Photoshop.
