Sculpture Wanted
Arts Hut regulars say our bijou Garden has ‘character’, I am instructed not to tidy. Its charm unfolds through a decorative arch, up lichen steps, past vast greek pepper pots and a sea green shed. I have pruned hard above ground, but wait patiently each spring for plant life to show. Our rampant weeds look lush and please the array of birds and butterflies popping in to snack and bathe. Last weekend a couple arrived saying they’d come to see the Garden, having read the ad in Wealden Times. This led to raised eyebrows and a flurry of activity. The Garden now welcomes visitors in a smart scruffy way. We are looking for sculpture to exhibit this season, if you think it would be at home here?
