Daily Dog Drawings
This week I have been reading artist manuals. They all advise drawing daily, trying new materials and looking at other peoples work. As this is ‘Love A Lurcher’ season at Arts Hut I have been looking at art depicting sighthounds. I particularly like Elle Wilsons work www.almostanangel66.co.uk she uses biro and watercolour in what she calls her ‘scritchy scratchy’ paintings. I usually work standing up at my easel, with a limited palette of oils, so for a change I sat at the kitchen table, dusted down my watercolour box, used soft brushes and worked small. A fun and productive day.
