Cricketing Lane Herstmonceux

This is the first in my new series of 12 inch square landscapes painted in and around Herstmonceux. Coopers Croft is the hamlet just outside the village, which includes the Truggery, Garden Centre and the very friendly B&B Candlelit Cottage. This field off Cricketing Lane had just been harvested, leaving spikey debris and exposing hard pink earth.
