Painting Eggs
Last year I signed up to be a 'Guest Artist' with Brighton Festival Artists Open Houses and yesterday was invited to show at our favourite house in the Seven Dials trails. This led to great excitement, an overload of chocolate digestives and an update to my website. With an exhibition schedule in place, I set to work. For spring I am embarking on a series of still lives, with eggs and feathers. Our Arts Hut hens left their beautiful bijou house with a heart shaped window, to stretch their legs in Cowbeech and Hellingly. However I have fond memories of them and their eggs. The first painting in progress is a large canvas of tiny pale eggs laid by Flo and Maude my frizzle bantams.
