Heathfield Show
On Friday after closing Arts Hut we took the browsers, chairs and card racks over to Heathfield Show to set up. The following morning I was up at 5.30am to pack the goodies, unfortunately this took its toll and by 8am I needed sugary tea and a sit down. The Showground was vast and many thousands of people braved the wet and windy weather. The Wealden Craftworkers marquee was near the practice ring and horse walk, with our pitch opposite Julia's Sheep to Shawl Project. The Show Chairman, owner of the Limousin cattle that appear frequently on this blog, dropped by for a chat and we met lots of new friends, hairy and human. It was brilliantly organised with fabulous animals and great stalls, shame about the weather.
