The Books

Our home has been dotted with wobbily piles of books for three years. Mr PWP plans to find a local carpenter to design and build furniture that can cope with our 1727 beams. The compromise - temporary bookcases from IKEA. The big yellow lorry couldn't off load on the A271 so, some two weeks later, two lovely London geezers in a big white van delivered our long awaited bookcases. They were easy to assemble and I have almost decanted the wobbily piles onto shelves. Other works in progress include blinds for all upstairs windows and a wood burner for my studio. After three years of  portable electric heaters and unplastered walls, we are aiming for snug this winter.
