Painting Spoons
My quest to spend October painting Sussex landscapes on 8 inch square boards came unstuck fairly early on. My drawings were interesting, but the South Downs refused to be re presented in such a small space. Plan B appeared in the form of a cardboard box full of old silver, jelly moulds, whisks and wooden spoons from my friend Clare Askaroff.
I have been a fan of Margaretann Bennett Still Life paintings for many years and have been researching other contemporary still life painters. There is a link list for you - bottom right. So here is the first of many kitchen paintings using ultramarine, raw sienna and white.
An enjoyable compostion.
