This weeks Illustration Friday topic is launch. My new dictionary says 'to set a boat or ship afloat, to release or send off'. At The Stade, in Hastings, the fishermen launch their boats off the beach. During the day you can wander around the backs of the boats and then at night they are pulled up high by the net huts.
I love the second one, with houses. Is it dry-point technique?

ReplyDeleteThey are monoprints. I use water based printing ink, a sheet of plastic, a roller and paper. Roll out the ink onto the plastic, place the paper gently on top of the ink, draw an image with a pen/pencil, then peel off the paper. Takes a few goes to get the ink right, too and its into the recycling bin.
