A friend looking at my new work picked out a Dungeness Lighthouse and said 'Oh it looks just like a Fred Cuming'. I was very pleased. Fred Cuming paints seascapes and I especially love his winter gardens above. Yesterday I found films showing him in his studio

Interesting video, I love those little peeks into an artists life. I really liked all those small almost abstract sketches, and I thought it was interesting that he said sometimes the larger paintings may not work and the small sketch becomes the exhibited piece.

ReplyDeleteThese are really good and I understand why you were happy to hear that your lighthouse reminded of Mr.Cuming. By the way, somebody commented on Decor-Ar Blog that they love your lighthouse - so it's obviously very eye catching!
