Art School December 2018

Our first taster session at Dot Cottage started with a tour of the two acre site.
Then after coffee, a demonstration of drawing techniques included continuous line and negative space. Margot had filled every shelf with glorious natural still life displays, some inspired by painters including Mary Newcomb, Winifred Nicholson and also Shakespearian sonnets. The fires were lit in the sitting rooms and after a delicious lunch created for us by BOXED, students were encouraged to find a comfortable spot to produce a longer study. We ended with a review of all the work created.
