Big Beach School Session 2 September 2018

Sarah had offered us the use of 'Sunny West' a beautiful house on The Ridge at Winchelsea Beach, East Sussex. The lesson was printing by hand.
It was great to see everyone wearing their aprons and work clothes, heads down and enjoying the process. It was quite messy. Note to self: bring string and pegs to hang the prints to dry, plus waterproof table covering and tea towels to dry the plates after washing.
We used:
Plastic sheets and blocks to print off
Daler Rowney Water Soluble Block Printing Colour
A roller to apply the ink
Daler Rowney A5 Smooth Heavyweight Paper 220gsm
Old paintbrush for getting printing ink out of the pot and for cleaning/washing plates
Kitchen roll
