To The Sea July 3rd or July 6th 2019

Our Art School is based on drawing and painting from direct observation. Learning to look closely, improve your observation skills and awareness of the smells, texture, sound and feeling of a subject. We started with basic techniques such as continuous line drawing, tonal studies and negative space. From still life displays inside Dot Cottage, we looked through windows and doors, before moving into the workshop and barns in the garden. Now it's summertime we can move outdoors without shelter and following a session in the wild gardens, for July we will be working on location at Winchelsea Beach. The aim of the lesson will be to make several small finished paintings on location working swiftly, before returning to the workshop for lunch and creating a larger piece during the afternoon. Students will need to bring pencils, acrylic paints, brushes, a rubber glove, paper, water jars, kitchen roll and rubbish bags. The dates are Wednesday July 3rd or Saturday July 6th 10am - 2.30pm, cost £50 including lunch. Booking in advance please. There are places available, please contact me on anna.wilsonpatterson@gmail.com
