This weeks topic is capable
My Olympus Trip camera was a present from Mr Roy Taylor. It has a glass lens and uses film but is still capable of producing magnificent photos on sunny days.

I have been busy for weeks with my role as Advertising Officer for South East Open Studios
Yesterday back in the studio adding finishing touches to small paintings started many months ago.
First Derek Jarman's Garden in Dungeness in February.

Happy Valentine
The heart in my Studio beam was carved by Bill Bruce for Pat, when they lived here and ran The Old Clock Shop.

if: popularity
This weeks Illustration Friday topic is Popularity.
My dictionary says "The quality or state of being popular, especially the state of being widely admired, accepted, or sought after."
In the UK it is fashionable to have a tree or vase of branches which you decorate throughout the year. Valentine hearts, replaced by easter eggs, replaced by birthday letters, replaced by Christmas baubles.

Snowdrop
A solitary snowdrop has flowered in the garden. The ground is frozen.
I am suddenly very busy selling advertising space for South East Open Studios.
Plus I have a new stockist for my cards and prints.
Contemplating a new print technique, perhaps linocuts. I am not good with tools.
In the meantime there are poppies, lots and lots of poppies.
